Anthony Carli is a writer and psychiatric physician assistant.  His writing has been published in outlets such as The Journal of the American Academy of Physician Associates, KevinMD.com, Health Digest, and The Arizona Daily Wildcat. He is a talented public speaker and has been invited to speak on several panels and was a featured speaker in Stanford Medicine's TalkRx storytelling program during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He attended Midwestern University for his primary medical training. At graduation, Anthony was honored to be named PA Student of the Year in Arizona, and received the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from Midwestern's College of Health Sciences. After PA school, he completed a 13 month fellowship in surgical oncology with Banner MD Anderson, Arizona's top cancer center. 

There, he operated alongside a wonderful team of surgeons in an effort to save lives from cancer. Now, he takes the compassion learned from surgical oncology and applies it to his practice of psychiatry.

Medicine, though, was not his first love. Anthony's career began outside of healthcare where he worked in public affairs, public relations, and government relations. Right out of college, he served as a staffer for former Rep. Kyrsten Sinema in her Capitol Hill office and an intern for former Representatives Gabrielle Giffords and Ron Barber.

Additionally he worked for several private sector firms in the fields of government relations and communications. This includes serving as a registered lobbyist and a communications manager. In his former career he learned many of the soft skills necessary to be a compassionate and creative thinker in the field of psychiatry, where he currently practices at Integrity Mental Health in Gilbert, AZ.
